About My Book

Kuch Bheege Panne

From a social media page to a book, this is how Kuch Bheege Panne was born. Kuch Bheege Panne includes every said and unsaid emotion, happiness and sadness that we all face, a wish to see the world where love is seen as love and is not conditioned, the trauma that sticks to us, the grief that we feel deep within our soul, and much more.

It reminds us that we don’t need to be strong every time; we can put down our weapons, rest, and fight another day. It is a reminder that when we love someone, we don’t love the gender, we love the person, as love sees no bias; love is love. The book salutes people who fight their demons every day. It recognises the pain each one of us goes through because of our grief, trauma, conditioning, and societal judgement. It is a humble attempt to remind us that we are on this journey together.

Shyamala Rajan

Shyamala Rajan has been writing since the age of 6. It started with rhyming lines but slowly grew into her passion. There were long breaks and confusion that were a constant part of her life, however, writing was the only solace. It was a peek at her professional career when she decided to publish her Instagram page as a book. Kuch Bheege Panne is an attempt to bring all the emotions we feel in our lifetime together at one place. It sincerely wants people to work together to alleviate each other’s pain and trauma.

The writing has just begun, Shyamala plans to work on a series of LGBTQIA+ love stories in hopes of spreading the love that sees no bias. She believes love does not see age or gender, nor is it bound by time. Love is love. She strongly advocates rising above the stereotypes and breaking free from the conditioning we all believe to be the way of living.

Shyamala is an English Literature graduate with an MA degree in English and Journalism and Mass Communication.
